My very fist post! 

Hello IronMen, I wanted to create a blog where men can share their insights with one another in being the best man, husband, father, brother, son, and/or friend they can ever be through the sharpening of other men. 

Ecclesiastes 10:10 states, "If the axe is dull, and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; but wisdom brings success."

Let us not be dull men. Let us sharpen one another to be sharp men.

IronMen!  Does your family look like a picture perfect vacation brochure photo with all smiles and laughter? If you answered "yes", keep doing what you are doing.  If you answered "no", its ok. Mines doesn't look like one either, but we choose to rejoice anyways.  Cheering is good medicine. It is a command our Lord Jesus Christ command us to do. We all need to celebrate more often even during hard times. I know it's hard to celebrate during hard times but let me explain. Be imitators of God as beloved children

Ephesians 5:1 "Therefore be imitators of God as a beloved children."  As I read this verse, "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children." It makes me think of my own kids and how they try to imitate everything my wife and I do. Not just the good habits but the bad habits as well. My kids are so blessed to have both mommy and daddy to imitate. I grew up in a Christian faith based home. My biological dad passed away when I was only 3 months old, but I had plenty of uncles to look up to and imitate. My mom re-married when I was 7 years old to a wonderful man of God who continues to inspire me everyday.  There is one thing that I recognize as a big problem that a lot of people have when it trying to be imitators of God. They cannot see Him! Matthew 5:8 states, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." A lot of people struggle with fully committing to purity or being pure in heart.
